In the state budget presented by Chhattisgarh government on 2020-21, a provision of Rs 5,700 crore was made to provide relief to farmers,by Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana 2020 (Chhattisgarh Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana) was launched in the state. . Under this government scheme, farmers will be given an investment of Rs. 10,000 in installments per acre of paddy and maize crops. The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana (CG Mukhyamantri Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay scheme) will also help the central government’s dream of doubling farmers’ income by 2022.
About the scheme
As you know About 70 percent of the population in the state of Chhattisgarh is dependent on agriculture. As most of the area of the state is rainfed, due to seasonal adversity and increase in agricultural input costs, there is uncertainty in the income of the farm income and debt sufficiency, consequently the inputs required for agricultural crop production like advanced seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, mechanization and new agricultural technologies. Can not invest enough in”Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana” has been implemented by the state government for agricultural input assistance to provide sufficient investment in agriculture and relief in installment costs.
The Kharif season paddy, maize, soybean, groundnut, sesame, pigeonpea, moong, urad, kulthi, ramtil, kodo, kutki, and rabi sugarcane crops have been included under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay scheme.
Purpose of the scheme
The main objective of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is to encourage farmers for crop production in the state.

- Encourage farmers to invest more in agriculture.

According to the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana (Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana – RGKNY), the state government will exchange more than 18 lakh farmers in the state which will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers through DBT
The Chhattisgarh government has deposited 2 installments under the Kisan Nyaya Yojana in the accounts of the beneficiary farmers of the state. The first installment has been submitted on 21 May 2020 and the second installment on 20 August 2020.
